The Saint Andrew’s Society of the State of New York Scholarship for Graduate Study in Scotland

The Society offers 1 year of funding for individuals who have some degree of Scottish lineage (check your DNA or family heritage) to attend graduate school at a Scottish university.

Eligibility:

• Seniors
• US citizenship
• Financial Need

Selection Criteria:

Applicants should possess qualifications which will enable them to be good ambassadors for the US while in Scotland. The basis for selection shall include the student’s:

• Academic achievement
• Extracurricular activities
• Financial need
• Clarity of career purpose in pursuing graduate study
• A statement that sets forth why the applicant wishes to continue his/her studies in Scotland and how those studies will contribute to the applicant’s career objectives and aspirations
