Goldwater Scholarship Campus Instructions & Application Form

Campus Deadline for Submission of Application:  20 December 2024

The Goldwater Scholarship:

The Goldwater Scholarship is open to sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue a research career in STEM (intending to pursue doctoral study, by earning a MD or DVM, or combination thereof (MD/PhD or DVM/PhD). For more information regarding eligibility and what makes for a competitive application, please visit the Goldwater website.

Campus Application Instructions:

You must submit the following using our “Submit Materials Tab” on our External Scholarships Website:

  • Our Goldwater Campus Application Form (this is a fillable WORD document; be mindful of the character limits)
  • The Goldwater Scholarship Research Essay as described at the end of the Campus Application Form and on the Goldwater Scholarship website.
    • The research essay (3 pages including references, images, footnotes) must adhere to the following format instructions: 1 inch margins all around and 12-point Ariel font.
    • You may work with your research/faculty mentors on the essay.
  • The names/contact information of your 3 recommenders + a brief rationale for why you selected those individuals. Please provide your recommenders with the specific information found at the end of this document.
  • A detailed CV/resume (no page limit)
  • A physically signed & dated Nomination & Permission Waiver Form

Please note: If you are nominated by the College, you will be provided access to the official form. IMPT: You may need to use Internet Explorer to complete the form.  If you experience difficulty, please respond on a separate sheet and enter “see attached” in the text box for that question.
